Free Wifi Has Been Launched in kampala-Uganda, What We Know

The Long awaited free WiFi in Kampala is finally here, Google has finally launched the free WiFi in Kampala.This will be a great opportunity for some people who don't have mobile data to gain access to there email accounts,office work, study books among others.

Basing on information from Frank Tumwebaze, the country's minister of information and communication,said the government would provide the Wifi for a period between 6pm and 6am on week days and from 3pm to 6am on weekends.

This WiFi service was tested yesterday Sunday(2nd Oct) and was easily accessed all those people who attended the Kampala City Festival.

This WiFi services doesn't specialize people that is it can be used by any person at his/her WiFi and  also restricts download videos and access to bad sites or pornographic videos and pictures.

The maximum speed per user was 2 Mbps, and the National Information Technology Authority - Uganda (NITA-U)promises to expand the project to all areas that cannot access the free WiFi with time.

Stand a chance to google and browse right from home no need of going to your office, with this free wifi in Uganda, people will now live a cheaper life no need of wasting money in buying data or mobile bundles.

Google along side with NITA-U has made life easy and better for most Ugandans with this newly launched free wifi in the country.
